The next RDEK Board will face important decisions that call for fresh thinking, strong relationships and renewed momentum. Area F has an opportunity to choose new leadership with the experience to build trust quickly, communicate clearly and move local priorities forward.
Our communities are facing important choices about growth, the health of our lakes and waterways, water and infrastructure, housing and development, short-term rentals and the future character of Area F.
Experience matters but so does the willingness to take a different approach when residents are looking for different results.

Why I’m Running
A time for new momentum
The next four years will bring important decisions for Area F to the RDEK Board table.
That creates an opportunity and a need to build new relationships, re-establish clear priorities and bring fresh momentum to the issues, opportunities, and challenges facing our communities.
Change does not mean conflict or instability. It means new perspectives and energy, active collaboration, and a renewed focus on turning local energy into practical results.
If residents want different results, we must be willing to consider a different approach. I believe my experience, relationships and leadership style have prepared me to represent Area F well and contribute to the next RDEK Board.
My Approach
Renewed momentum does not mean rushing decisions or pursuing change for its own sake - it means moving important issues from discussion toward responsible action.
A beloved early-career mentor told me to be hard on problems, not people, and I have carried that message throughout my life ever since. Good leadership begins with listening carefully, asking the right questions, and understanding the issue beneath the argument.
I will hear from the people involved in our communities, examine the available information, understand what remains uncertain and determine what is needed to make a responsible decision.
Then I will make the decision, explain my reasoning clearly, build support for the path forward, follow through, and be held accountable.
That is how thoughtful, collaborative leadership can create renewed momentum and practical results for Area F.
